I know you said low budget, but do what you can while it is all out...
Much easier, as you would expect, to work on stuff while it's out...
Atleast entertain a timing chain, crank seal (both sides of crank/rear main), cam/lifters, misc gaskets...
4-500 more in parts is worth the time you spent pulling the "nugget" out...
Come out ahead in the long run...
Oil pan gasket at a minimum!!
