    You definitely need to do something with the front manifold. Either Port, plog, or headers. here are a few pics of my NA 3800 port job. Takes time but helps.

    Looks like you added some weld material. Smart. I ported my front manifold years ago and it cracked the manifold after a few months of use. I now use a PLOG and have had no problems.
