That and a TB adapter is all... I got mine with an LS1 already attached but yes, its literally just pull off genIII and put on genV...

Depending on the core there will be differences

IIRC the only thing that varies is the vacuum routing for the genV on the genIII core but bolt pattern and flow should all be the same...

May be wrong though its been a while since Ive done mine...

I think some of the blower hangs over past the cut out for the core

They all do that though because of the alignment. Though, that doesn't restrict the flow at all...

    Eh I don't think so.... See I have gen5 with a gen5 zzp core.
My buddy has the gen3 with a zzp gen3 core.
when I put a gen5 on it , I was pretty sure the outlet over hangs the exposed core area

i could be wrong. It was last August and have not messed with more since then.
But the plan is or was , to use the gen3 zzp full size core wth the new gen5 blower. So I'm currently crossing that bridge

Ya thats what I mean. It over hangs but makes no difference in flow. I have the genV on a zzpS2 core too.

    Ah ok

so how do we overcome the PCV for the rear ?
i had used the zzp intake manifold with the channel added to it.
    He does not have this.

If he has the zzp core, the rear PCV should still function because (I think there is a skewed alignment when putting the genV on and it leaves a small passage to make the function possible). I dont remember the "why" I just know mine was/is fine. I just had to modify for the front one but ended up just doing a breather.

I have a WBS core, but it came drop shipped from ZZP. It uses a breather, but I also drilled a second hole in the intake for the PCV, like the upper intake pictured above. I also opened up the LIM to make it match the core outlet. I used the Garloc gaskets as a template. I did not port the SC. I was mostly interested in never pulling the LIM again if I went with a ported SC.

Question about your WBS core. Why does it not have the hole like zzp does for above the bbv ?

my guess as to why the wbs intercooler doesn't have the hole for the bbv is to put a bigger core in. not sure how much difference it makes since the valve is closed when boost is being made.

Well that's what I was wondering as well . Is the core extended over the part. It's hard to tell from the pics on the site.

    UPDATE:
A 2.7" pulley fits just fine after grinding off the ribs on the snout. No need for a fancy machining tool. (I ground the ribs off a long time ago when I had the snout off for repairs.) Yes, it's ugly, but so is the rest of the car.

No belt slip. Even with the same belt I used on the 2.9" pulley.

With the 2.9" pulley, I could run 24° timing. With the 2.7", it's about 18° before it knocks. ET and MPH are the same either way. For my car, timing = boost.
