I searched online with this issue to no luck. My temp sensor was working intermittently so i swapped it out for a gm one. Everything was good for a while but the problem returned, it would happen once in awhile but now it does it all the time and it seldomly works now. I traced back the wires there good, sensor tested good, i remove the battery cable and it works fine for about 20 start ups. My high beams dont work either when temp gauge is out... thoughts??

I'd peel back the wiring loom and trace the wires all the way to the ecm or pcm or whatever you call it under the airbox. Sounds like a bad connection to me. Also check the pigtail going to the sensor. It's weird how your high beams don't work when the temp gauge is out tho.

Im gonna have to try something cuz when it dont work and the engine is hot its extremely hard to start. Very strange that my high beams dont work tho when temp gauge is out.
