Ok so i had the door panel off today but couldn't figure out how to get the lock out. Do i need to take the outside door handle off in order to do it?

Ok so i had the door panel off today but couldn't figure out how to get the lock out. Do i need to take the outside door handle off in order to do it?

Nope shouldn't have to take the handle off....there is a clip that holds the lock in place similar to flex line clip if memory serves me...just pull the clip off and disconnect it from the linkage at the end of the lock by moving the lock. you may be able to get at it a little easier if you unbolt the handle but I don't believe you have to.
