    Got a temp gun?

    Or a o2 sensor socket?

Perhaps the cat is clogged and not allowing for exhaust flow. I'd temp gun the converter and see what temp it's at or if it glows red at night. Or remove the o2 sensor and see if it acts any different, it'll sound like a tractor but it works.

The light it on likely beause you took the o2 sensor out and started it up. That really just a test to see if it ran better or long with it out. Was just an idea to see if the cat was plugged or not.

If you just unplugged it and nothing else, the light is on because of that.
