Belt is in perfect shape, but it just flew off the engine, antifreeze all over but can't see from where, I am guessing water pump and tensioner and I shold be ok? Never saw one come off intact they always had tears trying to think why it slipped off like that, running hot as I pulled over the belt was off just hanging there

I had a belt jump off once. The tensioner went bad. As for the coolant, might be a bad water pump.

Might have nothing to do with the water pump. Check the tensioner. When the belt came off, the antifreeze might have just boiled over from lack of a water pump.

Wonder if a coolant elbow let go and got the belt wet enough to slip off as well.

Since your car is a 97, I hope the LIM gaskets have been done at some point.

Oh god, 337,000 miles on the original elbows?! I'm surprised they lasted that long, get some new ones. I'm thinking the belt may have struck an elbow when it flew off and caused a leak.

When I replaced mine at about 80,000 the old ones fell apart in my hands.

97 only has one elbow...the other is part of the alternator bracket...

correct, its part of the alt bracket, you take the new O ring off the new unused elbow, put it on the cast elbow and your set.
