Hey guys. Dealership just did gaskets on my girlfriends car 8k miles ago after owning it two weeks. I noticed the leak and had them fix it under warranty. I had it up on the lift at work yesterday and upon closer inspection i can see on the passengers side to the left (facing radiator from underneath) of the powersteering pump what appears to be wetness on the back of the head (firewall side, left or rear, however you think of it). I'm thinking thats the coolant smell she smells when exiting the car after driving it. No other wetness is to be seen, and slight amount of coolant missing, nothing major. Wondering if this is a problematic area for these engines (the back leaking). I own a grand am with the 3.4 so i'm all too famaliar with these types of leaks, having just done head gaskets up on my car a few weeks back myself. I have yet to pressure test it due to our work schedules clashing, but i will eventually. Just figured i'd post this up and see what you all thought. Car has 88k miles on it.

Could be a coolant elbow seeping coolant, hard to say really.

It was very hard to see. I had a light basically resting on the lower control arm looking through a bunch of hoses and such. Can't see anything from the top.

I would take a look at the coolant elbows. They're right behind the idler pulley. Might also want to make sure the water pump is on there really tight, someone might have changed it and there could be a small gap in the gasket.
