Hey everyone, a friend of mine's dad gave him a 2000 GT with about 220K on the clock. He said it needed LIM gaskets, but it hasn't even started since we got ahold of it. When we pulled it apart, everything looks VERY grimey, and the 2 and 4 intake runners (in the head) had antifreeze in them. We're trying to figure out if the engine is worth the money to get it running again. We pulled all 6 plugs, which were in the worst shape I have ever seen spark plugs, cranked the motor over a few times, and then ran a 2 compression checks....
................1st test 2nd test
Cylinder 1: 120 PSI 120 PSI
Cylinder 3: 150 PSI 160 PSI
Cylinder 5: 110 PSI 110 PSI
Cylinder 2: 100 PSI 100 PSI
Cylinder 4: 195 PSI 150 PSI
Cylinder 6: 165 PSI 130 PSI
I've used this compression tester many times, so I trust it. I'm thinking this engine has reached the end of it's life...What do you guys think?
