Ok so I got the car scanned and bank 1 sensor 1 and 2 came up. so the one behind the #6 spark plug and the one by the u-bend? With both these bad would it effect engine performance bad? Or could the catbe clogged?

That really depends on What's going on in the exhaust system. If you can get your care scanned with a device that has live data then it's much easier to diagnose.

You'd know if the cat was completely clogged. Major lack of power that could lead up to blowing gaskets.

The guy who scanned it didn't give me codes just said bank 1 sensor one and two are bad. I don't think it's my cat just because it doesn't smell like sulfer and I still have power but hesitates and bogs when accelerating.

Hesitation and bogging down while accelerating sounds like the cat. If you can, take a SHORT drive getting on it a little and try to eyeball the cat. If it's glowing red , it's clogged.

For the amount of info you were given... it could be a fuse on the heater circuit or many other things. It's not normal for both O2's to go bad.

there is no bank 2, only bank 1.

bank 2 would be if we had two narrowband sensors, but we only have one.

ok so last night i unplugged the front o2 sensor from the wiring harness and the acceleration gets better, and the exhaust wasnt as loud, after i plugged it back in the bogging came back. my gas mileage isnt suffering to much i would guess im getting around 20mpgs just from what i can gather because my gas gauge doesnt work. it goes up and down everytime i out gas in it. but thats a different problem. so heres what its doing. i accelerate theres not alot of power coming off the line, as in if i punch it it doesnt spin the tires almost at all. if im going down the road and i need to pass i hit the gas and it takes a second to get up and go then boggs down for a second. then snappes out of it and gets up and goes like its a perfect car. if im driving normal and its bogging pretty bad i floor it and it boggs then it accelerates better after it goes up a gear.

ive only had it scanned at autozone, would they be able to scan for kr? im thinking just saying screw it and take it into a mechanic just cause im tired of dinkin with it, but if its the cat, id have to get a whole new dp and cat becuase mine are welded together. so i might as well just buy a dp from zzp, and do they delete the ubend if i get that setup?

if its the cat you can have to old one cut out and the new one welded in. if you still have a U bend, its a good time to get rid of that while your there.

would it be better anyway to get the updated 2.5 dp with the cat in? then i would have to buy the u-bend delete right? wouldnt all that be just as much as having a shop cut out the cat and weld that back on?

Or you could just go with headers and solve your issues and weld in a car or go careless depending on what you like to do. No shouldn't cost u much to just have a new car welding into your existing. Would be even cheaper if you go ahead and removed the downpipe then bring it to a shop to have it done
Squirrels are my engine. I need a Ford Regal

if you buy a new DP that will remove the U bend. cats alone are fairly cheap, then have it welded in, vs the whole DP and cat deal. all depends on your wallet.
