So I was wondering if I should go with a K&N drop in filter from the factory box or the Cone filter with a elbo. Which has more of a nice sound? And what size pvc should I pick up for the accordian tube?

The cone will be the better option for flow and sound, I think.

If you're gunna go cone though, go AEM or equivilent dry flow... no need to mess with oil and junk.

For the pipe most people go 3 or 4 inch... your tb is 3" and some people like to go a little bit bigger piping.
Also go for the smallest bend you can get for the least restriction, some people go 45 degrees, some people try for 22.5.

Will I not notice a power difference if I go with a drop in filter?

Sure, if your current filter is dirty.
