A dd is a daily driver. If that really is your goal and no faster theres no reason to go with a turbo. trust me. With headers,FWI,3.2 pulley, and 1.9 rockers along with a tuner i was able to go 13.6 on street tires. If your wanting to go this route do the mods above FIRST. By having more compression you will actually have an advantage if you go about it in the correct way. The s/c will be way cheaper if thats all you want to do 1/4 mile wise. Now if you were wanting to go 12's then id say go with the turbo.

Just remember like myself thats all my goal was to ''mid 13's''

i agree that if he only wants mid 13s, a used s/c is cheaper.

one reason to go turbo is that at the same psi, the turbo will make 30-40 hp more than the s/c. injectors won't have to be as big to reach the same hp. the s/c will run out of breath when the turbo is still going strong.

personally i don't like the sound of modded s/c w bodies. turbos have a quiet, low rumble. you also get better fuel economy with a turbo.

a t3/60 turbo ($615), zzp crossover ($450) and down pipe ($400) - integral wastegate, no blow off, no intercooler - will give him easy high 13, and more potential than the m90 s/c.

    the s/c ($600 gev5 m90), headers (minimum $360), pulley ($45 + install tool), 1.9 rocker arms ($300).

i'm comparing new parts...sure you could find a s/c for $300 or less...and have custom exhaust cheaper than zzp. my point is that a turbo isn't much more expensive than s/c at this level.

if you think you might ever want 400+ whp, turbo is the only way to go. ride in a fast car and see what you like, and can handle.
