That is what my mechanic was thinking. I'm too busy with work and an upcoming vacation to investigate the problem so I am having him figure it out. Hopefully he is somehow able to test the oil, trans fluid, and coolant for contaminants to see what is going on.

Well a quick pull of the trans dipstick after the car has been driven will make sure that the trans cooler isn't leaking by looking for either foamy stuff, or a loss of fluid. If that's okay, somebody put the wrong fluid in the cooling system.
