There is like a grinding noise coming from somewhere in the belt, it's quite noticeable during idle.
any ideas on what it could be? i will upload a video later when i get out of school.

A bad pulley bearing is most likely.

Well, on your car, there's only one that it might be and it's a 15mm bolt. Otherwise it's something like the AC or alternator.

Turn your ac off and see if it's any different.

no it doesn't make a difference.

there is also a noise once the engine shuts off, it lasts for maybe 10 or 15 seconds of just something releasing pressure, if that makes any difference.

That's your ac I think. Did you pull the belt off and see if any of the pulleys feel funny?

yeah i just did, the alternator pulley was silky smooth. the belt tensioner was a little rough and the Water pump pulley was really tough to move. otherwise the other ones were good, not sure if i am able to move the powersteering one?(the biggest pulley) by hand though, cause that sucker didnt budge haha
