Installing rockers without retuning and increasing shift points is kinda like Top Swapping without headers....

I thought the er rockers were the best option if I didn't want to get into replacing everything under the valve covers.
Sure...you can run them without upgrading springs, but I was getting at is that you won't see max gains without running up the RPM's.
Spend the extra money and do it right the first time?
Plus...a tune makes a world of difference...and Will @ Overkill is in Canada...
are the stock shift points lower then what the stock springs can handle? so with a tune where the shift points are increased with stock springs I will be fine?
You can shift up to 6K on stock springs...anything really past that and your risking valve float...which is no bueno.
alright then, back to my original question, what else do I need to do this mod?
I'd honestly get some Crow 105 springs, matching retainers, Comp Cams Re-useable rocker bolts, new valve cover gaskets/grommets...and have Will tune it after your done.
Tune + Rockers/Springs = 20 FWHP? Maybe?
If I use the stock springs how much gain could I see? From what I understand replacing the springs is tricky so is it even worth the effort.

But seriously...its easy if you have an air compressor and the right tools.
If not, then installing ER Rockers and getting a solid, dialed in tune...shifting at 6K...you'll not only notice a performance difference but I'm sure you'll see better MPG's as well.
It took me five months to build up the courage to do a HV3 install, did it properly and now I'm hoping I can do the rockers next. Let me know if there is anything difficult about it that would screw up the car if not done exactly right.

Just make sure you torque everything correctly and clean out the bolt holes before re-install...I think Comp Bolts are 25 ft.lbs?
the stock rocker bolts can't be reused?
I used this as a reference when I did mine. I kept the stock springs and got the reusable bolts. But I don't drive mine ahrd enough to be shifting above 6K rpm's.

L76 springs.
They're cheaper, and not as damaging to the tensioner.
Will is also just a few miles away from him.... About 2000 to be precise.
