its N/A 3 degrees of KR isnt going to hurt anything, there is no forced induction so theres nothing to blow up. use a wide band my car had a A/F of 15.1 for about a year because "i had a tuner i knew how to tune". we put the car on a wide band and a dyno and it made 100WHP. what a kick in the balls buying a powertuner was. N/A my car loved a 12.8 A/F ratio, made the most power 200WHP and felt the greatest. best bet is to find a reputable dyno shop, with a mustang dyno so you get real world numbers, and pay the 500$ to have them tune the optimally. driving the car on the street and trying to tune is not the right way to do things when you can strap it down on the rollers and go to town. im not trying to sound like a dick ive been there done that and a custom tune done by a great tuner was the best money i ever spent

on the second note, if you smell fuel its most likely the injector o-ring could be torn, thus the fuel smell and a tiny vacuum leak. happened to me when I installed the HV3 and didn't grease the o-rings for the injectors
