Found out the upper and lower o rings are not the same.
decided I would work on my valve cover gasket this weekend. Only did the left side so far. It was easy. Replaced the gasket and grommets on it.
I talked to a few people and everyone has a different oppinion on if I use rtv on the gasket or not.
I decided to go without since the original didn't have any.
Also discovered the valve cover gasket didn't seem to be leaking. The lower intake was leaking next to it making it look like part of the problem.
Guess I should have changed that first.

ZZP sells the same gasket for the top and bottom.

Never had any sealing issues with theirs.

If you dont use RTV you will have a leak.

The gasket wont seal on its own.

    Thus a nice vacuum leak.

You dont need any rtv of the valve cover gasket, only reason to use it on there is to hold it in with a few dabs if the gasket fits loose.

Replaced my lim gasket over the weekend. Wasn't to hard at all. Flushed coolent while I was working on it too. Autzone must have gave me the wrong thermostat because the one they gave me was totally different.
Not sure but seems like replacing the lim gasket gave me better gas millage. You. Think that is possible? I did clean the engine parts and found a lot of carbon gunk built up sitting in crevices of the lower intake.
It was a learning experience for me. Thanks to everyone here who has helped me prepare and with your knowledge.
