Im looking for find out what the name of the line highlighted is it needs replaced as well as finding out where the vacuum line thats directly underneath it goes. This is not a pic of my engine just one i found for reference. And in the pic it doesnt look as if there is another line coming out underneath it but mine does have one and i would say the fitting for it is about 1-2 inches below the highlighted line. Thank You

Can't see the pic large enough to make it out. On the TB there's potentially two lines. Top one is for the evap soleniod, the bottom would be from the 4T60 trans and a couple other things.

Hope that picture helps a little more. The lines tie together into one. But if i wanna replace it what would i ask for. And the vacuum line underneath it is about where the arrow is. its capped at the moment but you can hear what sounds like a vacuum leak. im assuming from where ever that line plugs into. Reason for replacing it is the fitting where it goes onto the Tb is cracked and currently help tight by zip ties (was not done by me) And while it doesnt leak nor do i hear any hiss from it when the car is running but after a drive if you touch it you can smell gas on your finger.

    Uh..I dunno.

If you need one of these, here's the part number

    Or one of these

Heck, I even have this part number

But that one you want...I don't have. I'd say hit a dealership and ask them to pull up the top end views. Then point it out from those.

They don't have any vacuum diagrams per se...but they do have top end diagrams. I know, because I've stood there and looked at them.

Check on compnine and see if you can find it.

One of those hard lines goes to the fuel pressure regulator. Should be smaller of the 2 lines. Not sure why you would smell gas in it. Might want to pull the other end off the FPR and see if fuel leaks out. If so, then you need to replace the FPR as well.

Thumbs up for the picture i see where the whole is in that picture. But it doesnt show the line. The red is where the crack is at and where i can smell gas and the orange is the vacuum line im trying to figure out.

What year is your GP? I just looked at my 00 GT and it does not have that fitting on the TB, nor does the TB from an 01 I have here on the shelf.

Well issue was resolved actually from another forum.Someone brought up the point the the throttle body was most likely swapped. And of course that is possible someone suggested a 97 gt and that vacuum port goes to the transmission. but on my car only thing i can do is cap it. needles to say i will probably just replace it.

I know this thread is old but I'll just post this for future searches. I have a 97 GT and I have this port. It has T rubber fitting coming out of it that goes to the FPR and the transmission.

Seeing the post about it being a 97..it's not. It would have the T in the first picture I posted if it was a 97 or 98.

Im not sure about the throttle body itself cause im not a mechanic but there are parts on the car that are marked for a 97 gt that have been swapped. So more than likely they found a decent parts car and have swapped out several pieces. I noticed trying to clean out the engine bay that ( and i hope this is right) the bell housing for the transmission which ( big thing attached to right side of engine standing in front of the car also says 97 gt. where exactly is this port on the transmission so i can check to see it its on there. There is a vacuum leak somewhere but havent been able to figure out where it is.
