My upper intake is leaking (anitfreeze) and I can see it coming out (under near ) throttle body. With 184k miles (is my intake warped) How would I be able to tell. Can i just remove the upper intake with the injectors still in place (unhooked)? How do i get the rail off the injectors? How do I bleed the fuel pressure.

    1. How do you get the fuel rails off the injectors?

    2. How do you bleed the fuel pressure?

    3. can I change the upper intake with fuel injectors still in place (fuel rail off)

    please help

the car is leaking and I can see that its coming out the upper intake. The lower intake isnt leaking at all. This is my daily driver right now and I need it fixed fast.

    I priced the gasket (40.00)

    intake and gasket (121.00)

    please help

It seems that I can pull the intake off with the fuel injectors still on the engine. Any pics

Easiest way to do this is to remove 4 10mm nuts that hold teh rails down. Now wiggle and lift up. The injectors typically stay in the rail. There's no need to pull them out of the rail. No need to bleed pressure or anything else. Just set them off to the side when you get them off.

Then you have access to the upper. The upper kit should come with the gasket and a lot of extras.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

if you wanna bleed of fuel pressure you can just take the fuel pump fuse out and then run the car till it dies out fro no fuel, should only take 2-3 seconds

    1) You don't need to take the injectors off of the rail, like previously mentioned.
    2) The Fuel Pressure Regulator has a bleeder on it. Unscrew the cap, put a rag under it, and the push the bleeder in like you would a valve stem on a tire to let air out. This is the best way to remove pressure from the fuel rail. There will still be fuel in the rail, except there will be little to no pressure.
    3) Yes. You can see how to do it in the first few pics of my HV3 install page on Cardomain: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/205587...e-carlo/page-5

Do some shopping for the UIM. That's too expensive. ZZP has there's for much cheaper, even with gaskets: ZZ Performance

so all I gotta do is.................undo the rail bolts (4) and pull up on the rail and the fuel injectors and the rail should come up.
