What would cause my car to be going on it's 3rd Fuel pressure regulator? All the vac lines that connect to it are new, Maybe the sending unit? I can't for the life of my find anything that would cause my car to be burning through them every 4k miles....

What makes you think its the regulator? The pressure in the regulator can be checked by pinching the fuel return line. If the pressure in the fuel pressure regulator does not rise after pinching the fuel return pipe, it is an indication of a bad fuel pressure regulator.

I also thought that if you smelled gas in the vac lines it was bad. Either way, when I replaced it the first 2 times I would get amazing MPGs, now I can drive 5 miles on a quarter tank of gas (the truth) and everytime I replace that FPR, BAM 20+ mpg.

Mine smells like gas. If it has visible gas pouring from it then the diaphrams shot in it. disconnect the hose have some one bump the ignition or start the car and see if gas comes out of it. Id just piont the hose away from a flamable source and your face. Seeing what your fuel pressure is would be really helpful

I'll have to try it and see. It also sounds like my fuel pump has gotten louder and has more of a hiss/whine to it?

A louder fuel pump could indicate something is clogged. Just out of curiosity, when is the last time the fuel filter was replaced?

I got a new one, and so far so good, but we'll see.
