I was wondering i saw on a video of a monte carlo with a 3.8 N/A that had a lower intake manifold ported. Has anyone ever done the porting on the lower intake manifold of an L26?
If so was it hard, how much would it cost and did you gain anything?

Just got done doing an l26, gasket matched the runners. I would say all in all it took 1.5 hrs.
I did mine a little while ago but have no pictures of it ported. It was not to hard but I took my time and used a spare l26 LIM I cleaned the whole thing set the new gasket on the used a thin sharpie to mark the gasket and smoothed the runners opening the exit up to the mark I made. You do not want the exit to be flush with the gasket you want it to be matched to the heads or you will have turbulence from the transition.
The measurements of the stock head inlet and what you want the LIM to be is 0.9" by 1.9".
Ill post some pics later i guess. Its kind of weird how the gasket is offset but thats the way you have to make the port.
Here are the pics. You will see what im talking about. On the l26 it has the side where the injector goes and the casting has a little half circle. Im guessing this is normal, but i matched it to the gasket like normal so i guess its fine. P.S. the injector bungs are welded shut, this is going on a turbo setup.
