If I unplug the CPS, would the car still run with the cam position sensor for timing, I wanna elimnate my CPS as a cause, but if the engine wont start without it, I guess I just need to replace it
I would think if the cps was bad it would throw a code.
If the signal is scewed or a little off, the computer will not throw a code
Then I would think there would be a way to check it out then. But I suppose you would have to talk nice to a GM tech who can get you the info on how to check a cps.
Only way to completely check is is with an ociliscope, but I don't have one or access to one..... Being that it is inductive pick-up, it can fade over time
