My job this weekend will be installing a set of ZZP ER Rockers (1.85 to 1 for the intake valve and 1.80 to 1 for the exhaust valve) on my L36 engine.
I have two new coolant elbows, new rocker bolts, and gaskets coming with the
rockers also have all the torque specs.(thanks to VinnieGTP for posting and Andrew 99 GTP for asking).I just have one question would it be less messy if I
drain like a quart of antifreeze from the radiator so the fluid is lower in the block when I remove the coolant elbows? Any other helpful input on this job would be great.

If your going to drain a quart...might as well just drain it all out and flush it...probably wouldn't hurt either. Especially if you have Dexcool in it...if not...just drain it out until it stops...just makes life easier and LESS messy trying to plug it back up while it is draining. You are still gonna lose some coolant that is sitting up top though...just a FYI.

Dab a little rtv on the valve cover gaskets to help hold them in when you put the cover back on.

Should have pulled all those brackets off the back. Makes plugs even easier. Other than that good job.

Seems quieter at idle? and more consistent power through-out the rpm range idle to 6000. Second gear really pulls a lot more with the stock ones it would stop pulling at
    about 4500-5000rpm.
