First mod= drink of choice and read old threads for about 2 hours. Then decide what to do, but I am with Bio save up get an intercooler. Until then slap a filter on the tb and listen to the whine. Also your GTP is not N/a.

    Fail.

Why bring more air in and create a potential of knock then get rid of the air it is already bringing in faster...first. Get a downpipe or at least a u-bend delete.

^^^^right, because that u-bend delete is so heart warming and creates the most power for a "first" mod....Most people start off with a CAI and then get 3.4 pulley right after, then mess with the exhaust and get a pcm tune along with a few small mods in between such as better belts or etc...

Wow that is about the worse advice I have seen in awhile. Why not just tell him to run it low on oil to save some weight. Yeah lets see how much air we can shove in tell it blows up. No thanks. You sir should not be giving advice. You need to read the safely modding your 3800 thread. Written by the man you tried to correct. Then print it off and slap your self with it to drive the point home.

Yeah...I like your idea best. Maybe print it on a boulder first before he hits himself. Might work better.

Do they do everything crazy up there in Chicago?

You start talking about boost...you sure do know a lot. Must be really smart since your talking about pulley drops in the NATURALLY ASPIRATED SECTION.

    Idiot.

I know...but most people keep the boosted conversations in the SUPERCHARGED section right?

    Or am I just delusional?

First performance mod is maintenance. Replace all the fluids, filters, tune up, seafoam cleaning.

That alone will give you alot nicer car to drive, whether it's a GT or GTP or Ford Escort.

That is the first thing in the safely modding your 3800 thread. It is the first thing I do as soon as I buy a car.

I did that on my '07 Cobalt too...plugs, air filter, oil filter, oil change...I don't care if it needed it or not...it gets done.
