I drive a 2000 GT and i was just wondering if i were to drop a GTP engine into it, would i need to worry about things like the engine mounts not lineing up? Also, what else would i need to wire into the firewall other than the boost control stuff.

Using your existing harness it's two wires from the BCS to the PCM and a harness adapter for the map sensor. Mounts are all the same.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I'm pretty sure the flexplate is different too.

Have you looked at other options, like a top swap?

Would you be swapping the trans too?

stock configuration yes, it is true. The worst it could possibly be cost wise is a tie unless you are counting the cost of gaskets and the small stuff. If both motors are in good condition, you will have more power with the NA motor top swapped obviously. It should be faster as you would still be using the stock NA tranny with 3.29's and the motor has more power with stock configuration. Once it is modded then the cost goes up, and the speed bets are off.

Can you drop 3.8 SC engine into a 3.8 Non SC 97 GT. I have the 3.8 complete SC engine. DO I have to change the tranny? Thanks.

yes you can do it, you can use that tranny, but it wont last forever. You could baby it and make it last a little while, but what fun would that be?

If you need a tranny, go with a TEP and be done with it.
