your exhaust will never sound better except at idle with any muffler you can choose.

that is why we say keep your stock mufflers and make it better with either a glasspack, downpipe, powerlog, etc. make your changes BEFORE the mufflers.

On my GT I have ceramic coated TOGs, 3" catless downpipe, then 2-1/2" threw a glaspack then runs into (2) 40 series Flowmaster mufflers, i think it sound sreaking sweet.

I had the mufflers on with the rest of the car stock, still sounded good, but with flowmasters make sure you have at least a resinator, or a long glasspack

i got flowmasters on there now, it sounds ok, but i was thinking about ripping out the resonator and put a cherry bomb in its place, want a bit more sound, i have heard 3.8L tbirds with mid mounted exhausts and they sound sick, i think mounting a cherry bomb in place of the res and run pipes out from that will make it sound pretty good,

Yeah but you have to remember that they have a different degree V6...and it is RWD and they can have duals...sooooooo...it is gonna sound different...probably meaner. Hell if my 3800 sounded like a new V6 Mustang I'd be happier.

ive got some flow's with a resonator delete and new downpipe, rumbles at idle, especially at a cold start and you can hear good tone until about 3000rpm. sometimes sounds a lil "can-ny" but deffinately mean. Sounds pretty good on the highway too, you can actually hear some tone and not just the bassy cabin drone.

-powerlog comming soon, can't wait to hear it then

Keep the resonator and do yourself a favor.

This is my car with Pacesetter's and straight pipes after my cam install with Flowmaster40's... Video - xp start up - exhaust gtp

And here it is...SAME exact setup...only thing different is I put in a stock GM resonator. You tell me which one sounds better YouTube - GTP Exhaust

the stock catback will flow just fine up to like 350+ whp. dont worry about that being a restriction.
