    1) Where exactly is the resonator located?
    2) Can the resonator be taken out just by itself?
    3) How do you think a 2005 GT would sound with everything stock....but only without the resonator?

I read somewhere on the set up you mentioned above. The catless downpipe can be changed out without going to a shop...right?

Thanks for any and all answers.

    1) In your exhaust after the cat.
    2) Yes
    3) Crappy, but to each his own. I put mine back in after having it out.

And that would be called a "BOLT-IN" Downpipe.

so ive done some reasearch on exhaust systems other than the stock one...ive heard the stock sounds the best but i was focusing on the best aftermarket one...ive taken ideas from this forum, other forums, youtube, everywhere and its come down to 2 options most mentioned 1. downpipe w cat delete, keep resonator, aftermarket mufflers or 2. a full cat back exhast from SLP or pacesetter (borlas sound the best in my opinion but are too expensive for me)

if you really insist on taking off your stock mufflers then do option one without deleting the cat.
