    I am looking at some spark plug wires,from MSD, universal fit 8.5mm. Any one tried to crimp themselves? Any tips?

    I dunno, Ive owned two sets now and didnt find it that bad. They usually provide what they call a crimping block in the package and it works fine. Works best if you have a vice, but Ive done it with just a hammer too. Vice grips might work well too or a C-clamp.

    i used a vice. i didnt have time to cut them shorter because i was running out of time and i was doing them for someone else. i thought he was just having me swap them, not build them.

    I've used vise grips on a set i built for my 78 camaro..i didn't see tha point in buyin a tool i'd only use once..
