That really depends on how you've timed your camshaft
I still recommend to people that they clay the top of the piston and see how far into it the valve goes with a lifter modified to be solid and not compress the plunger and use an adjustable length checking pushrod

.600 lift is really no issue, that being said every setup is different. I took about 2 weeks of planning and measuring to get my setup figured out.

    1. you must have heads that flow at rated lift. In my case I flow benched them and they kept moving more CFM the higher I went up to .650

    2. you must have heads that are clearanced for the rated Lift. You can cheat a little more lift by different retainers and such.

    3. your springs have to be able to accept the lift and not get into coil bind issues.

Check on all three things. My heads are ported and polished, Manley valves, 130 comp springs, Manley retainers, guides clearanced and the rocker rollers for over .600 lift. I guess what I'm really having ? About is at .597 lift will the valvetrain be reliable with no issues . Thanks!!
