Got one of these suckers for real cheap, couldn't say no. Gonna appreciate the drain bolt.
Can I reuse the factory gasket with this pan? I figured yes, but just want to ask to make sure.

I think they are reuseable, but they will end up leaking at some point. why not do the job right and put a new one on? on my last grand prix I was leaking transmission fluid and got lucky because all I did was tighten a couple bolts and it stopped leaking.
you can probably get a transmission pan gasket a lot cheaper on amazon or rock auto than what zzp charges.
I've re used the stock trans pans gasket forever. Never had to replace it. Just check back after a few days and re check the bolts. They tend to loosen a bit after the weight from the fluid in the pan
Thanks guys, my current gasket has been reused twice already. No leaks.
Got this thing for 50 bucks, so i guess I'm not too upset about just now finding out that Dorman makes a replacement pan with a bolt. Hahaha
Thanks for the advice guys.
if using it with the zzp alum pan with their horrible rail machining....rtv the gasket to the pan and leave the other side clean. the trans case is nice and smooth, two allum pans have leaked on me
I reused the factory one for 322,000 miles,, probably 7 or 8 changes, never a leak.

The factory trans pan gasket is only 50 bucks from the dealer for a new one. Or 30ish for a new one on Amazon.
