Diff is easy to check with a jack and a couple of minutes (hence you won't totally freeze to death). Although the diff feeds both wheels, so I doubt it's diff. Sounds a little more like a brake pad that somehow moved out of place and wedged or a band inside the trans that came off it's pin. Usually they can't do this..but let's pretend I've seen one put in wrong and give a similar issue.

HOLY EFFN COW. You are my new hero. Went out and looked. 5 seconds later I realized one of the caliper bracket bolts has gone missing. when I drive forward it binds in the wheel. I've got 17" mustang wheels on the car, and you can clearly see the "groove."
Thank you so much. Now I feel stupid.
