04 comp g started to notice a whine noise only on deceleration, goes away during acceleration. does not make the noise at idle, park or neutral, only on deceleration. was told by a friend it could be the thrust bearing in the final drive which would be nice because then i would not have to have the transmission removed just the differential cover. anybody had this problem before? i know its not the hub bearings due to the noise does not change while swerving back and forth and not a pulley. it does it in any gear while slowing down. Thanks
