I need to reassemble the tranny pump. I cannot get the rings and vanes alligned correctly so I can get the cover on and then the pump back on the tranny. What is the procedure for putting this back toegther. I have the images of how it goes toegther but I cannot get it alligned. Thank You in advance.

You should be able to put the pump together off the trans. Assemble like your picture, just leave the vanes in a bit. As the pump spins..it'll push them outward.

Get that silver bolt back on the cover once it's assembled and then when you got to put it on the trans.. if you have the trans out, spin the pump shaft to get it to engage the pump and allow the pump to sit on the valve body properly. Then bolt it down.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I took another look at the picture. If the rings are moving..then goop them with trans gel. Vasoline would probably work pretty well if you don't have trans goop.

I just can't get everything to fit. I put the ring down first in the place where I see the mark from here it was. Then I put the center part(don't know the name) in, then the vanes. But the vanes will not fit because of the ring. I am stumped.
