I recently purchased a 2001 GTP. Looking under the hood, a friend commented that the blue painted transmission looked odd to him and that perhaps it had been replaced. I've had no luck finding a good pic, but the ones I see appear to be unpainted. Car shifts well, I'm just curious.

    LOL!
Nah, I doubt he painted it, he was an older fart than me. Original owner. Did they come painted blue stock?

edit: Actually that's not quite true, the original owner was a GM exec for the first year.

Well, I guess it's good news then 'if' the tranny has been replaced. I was just curious about it. Thanks a lot!
