97 GTP.
This was a new axle from Advance Auto. I originally bought one from AutoZone and after I couldn't get it in, I realized it was about 2" short and the shaft diameter with the splines was smaller than the stock one.
This one seems to be the same size though.
Dave - do you think that loud grinding caused some damage? Obviously it's never good to hear a grinding noise but... And why isn't Park engaging
I may go pick up a halfshaft from ZZP tomorrow - at least they should have the correct part available for me.
