I have just discovered that the transmission fluid is leaking into the radiator. So my first thought is to replace the radiator and flush out the transmission fluid. But i am not sure if the coolent has enetered the transmisson. I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions what i am up against. Thanks

You need a new radiator. Yes there is a built in trans cooler in the radiator. Sometimes they rupture. The bigger concern is there is no coolant in the trans fluid.

If you just caught it, then there is a good change that no coolant got in the tranny. But check the color and condition of the tranny fluid to be sure. And whatever you do, do not drive the car at all. In fact, do not even start the car! Replace the radiator, flush the coolant out, replace with new, drop the pan on the transmission, put in new filter and new fluid. Then have the trans flushed as soon as possible afterwards.
