My stock tranny last 3 years with a similiar setup, then I swapped trannies for better gearing/stall (never broke my original one).
I opted for a Race Tranny with 3.29s, ATI 3000 Stall, Hardened Input Shaft, etc. But thats me.
3.69s will be about worthless on the street, all you'll do is spin spin spin. Its bad enough with 3.29s IMO.
Talk to Dave, hes building my tranny as we speak, I also told him im going to have almost identical mod list as what you just listed.
Having talked to Dave in the past, he'll probably suggest nearly stock rebuild.
You don't have a ton of super powerful mods that would tear it apart.
With those mods he has a potential high 12 sec car and if he plans on running slicks in the future, it would be wise to get AT LEAST a single chain conversion. Although I would do that and an Input shaft too, especially for slicks.
I think if you gonna build the tranny, at least invest in those 2 things. Just those pieces alone makes the tranny a whole lot stronger and it'll damn near take anything you give to it.
He told me, for a DD you will have the single chain stretch faster, and it will need replacement sooner. He suggested to me an improved dual chain setup, along with the intense input shaft, 258mm t/c, and HD diff. I told him my future mods which include headers, and full size i/c, he said i should be fine with slicks
2 weeks![]()
I can't wait.
2 weeks till tranny or i/c?
And it will take 3 weeks too.
thought i remeber hearing from dave the dual or 7/8 chain was better to go with because of the streching issues, think i talked to him about that when i was having trouble with mine and put a new diff in it.
