Looks like this is what's happening. I'm going to go back and see if I can hold the drivers axle while I push the shaft in. David, I don't know how the hell you do this regularly. I've pulled the gun out of my mouth like 35x now, I doubt it'll fire now with all the saliva on it. I'll let you guys know how I make out.

The reason why things aren't working out is because I managed to pop my driver side axle out. I have to somehow line up the drivers side CV axle with the output shaft, from the passenger side. All the while keeping the differential seated in it's spot. I'm probably going to have to pull the driver's side wheel, brake stuff, and reseat the axle onto the visable end of the shaft. Pewpies.

If you do that, and I suppose Trannyman would need to confirm this, but I would think the best thing to do would be to put the differential on one end and push the whole thing back through. Now Trannyman mentioned you have to be careful with this as there is a plastic piece in the middle of the transmission used to lube the gears and so forth and that if you push or pull on the output shaft too hard it can break that piece.
You should feel the shaft bang up against it as the C clip hits it. You can or should be able to finagle it through, you just dont want to slam it through and break that piece. You could even take that C clip off and that should take care of that, you'd just have to put it back on on the driver side.

Bailing out for the night, something isn't right. I had everything together and went to install the housing, found it had a gap between it and the trans. Didn't want to tighten it and break anything. I know the park gear is seated okay, I think it may be an issue with the output shaft still. I was able to get it seated (at least I believe I did) in the drivers axle. I then put the diff in, locked it, and it's still not bottoming out in it's spot. I made sure everything underneath it was locked into position, but something still isn't right. I'm going to continue tomorrow afternoon, I'm exhausted. May end up pulling the driver side axle out, getting the diff situated, and put the driver axle back in last. Thanks for the help guys.
