ive had my gp for about 2 weeks now and when it shifts from 1st to second it starts to shift then hesitates then it goes into second. when it hesitates its almost like its in neutral because u can hear it rev unless you let off the gas and give it time to shift... anyone know what this could be?? and btw its a 97 gp gt with 118k

Have you checked the condition/level of the fluid?

i checked the level and its alright but the fluid should be changed soon so I think Im gonna get my tranny flushed and run some good oil and see how that works...I put a bottle of lucus in and it definitely seems like its helping but I need a permanent fix...

Since you have a GT you have a 4T60E transmission rather than a 4T65E transmission. The first thing I would check, after fluid which you already did, would be the vacuum line going down to the vacuum modulator on the front side top of the transmission. Remove the line from the modulator and make sure there is no trans fluid in it. Also check to see what color the modulator is. If it is painted gray then it is the original, if it is gold in color than it has already been replaced and is an aftermarket part and should be adjustable to give you higher pressure.
