Alright I have seen the how to write ups found from searches. However none of the photos work due to photobucket BS. Any body have pics of their home made engine supports? Was hoping to see what bill boost made out of a 4x4.

I bought a harbor freight Pittsburgh engine support bar but I don't like how there is no support bar for front to back support. If I can build my own I would like to take this back for a refund.

When using a support bar homemade. Do you have to jack the engine up from the oil pan to get the chains tight enough to hold the motor?

Am I better off using my cherry picker to pull engine and transmission again instead of tranny out the bottom?

i used my engine hoist to hold the engine up. pushed it in from the pass side fender.

I guess I will have to check that the legs don't reach under the trans. Not sure I have enough jack stand height to get the cradle out with picker legs under it. Do you know how high you went with the jack stands if you used them?

i put my floor jack under the middle front sub frame and maxed it out, then put the stands under the rockers. you got enough room. i was doing a tranny swap myself. hoist is what i had on hand that i knew would work.
