I have been searching this site and google and can't find much on the subject. I am getting a new TEP trans and would like to install a cooler for longer life but would like some tips on coolers that i can use hard lines with and hopefully not cut the stock lines. I want to avoid a blow out and burning up the trans but have a clean professional looking setup like the factory did it.

Anybody got some pics write ups or links?

    ^^That.

I ended up running a Tru-Cool 4590 on my GXP. However, I bypassed the radiator and cut the stock lines. They were hidden though...so it looked good to me. Kept that big tank cool all the time.

I did a write up a while back. Photobucket killed all the picture links, but they should still be viewable if you go directly to the Photobucket website.

    Write up:

Not saying that's the only way or even the best way, but it worked great for me. It looked really clean when installed too. I repurposed the cooler for another project, but I still have the lines and steel supports if you're interested.

Is this cooler kit the impala one? Apparently these guys no longer sell this one.

I appreciate all the replies. I do not want a stand alone cooler. It gets cold where I live and plan to run an aftercooler. That gm 9c1 cooler is awful expensive new.
