So it basically removes the entire cooler in the radiator? Ok, this makes more sense now. I'll just have to figure out how much line to run and such.

You're right, because $50 compared to $500 is such an understandable trade off.

First, as mentioned, decide whether you want to go stand alone or not.

My plan is to go stand alone, cap off the rad fittings, mount up a B&M 70264 cooler and tap into the tranny lines like this:

I have to agree, your trying to bandaid a issue, then add considerable power to the engine, if you can't afford the proper fix then don't swap,
I was in your shoes, had a top swap and headers, but couldn't afford to fix the car if the motor blew or trans broke, so I sold it.

I'll be adding maybe 50 horsepower since I have uncoated rotor packs. The transmission only slips going from 1st to 2nd past 4k. How often do I get it that high? Not very often. So yes, I am trying to bandaid the issue, but you can think of it as a tiny cut on your arm that either remains the same, or slowly gets infected. And the transmission cooler acts as a pain reliever - not there to make it better, but there to make it so you don't notice it.

I've done everything to the transmission that I could, so I think it will hold up for what I need it for.

Slipping past 4k is huge, 4k isnt ****. Your gonna tell me your going to top swap and NOT go past 4k? HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA, who are you trying to fool, us or yourself?

Here is a fact for you, the trans cooler........ wont do a dam thing for your slipping.

As for your tiny cut, no, your bleeding and you need staples regardless of how many bandaids you put on and tell yourself it will be ok.

Why add 40whp(which is alot more strain) and even more torque and not use it,
I go 4k and over it all the time, it's why you mod a car lol.

I do go over 4k RPM when I'm out of first gear, that's when I find it fun. I have had the transmission over 5k RPM in first gear one time, and it shifted fine. To be honest, the issue only happens every so often. It's not like every time I shift, it slips.
