    I am working my lil bros car and it is running at 3000 rpm at 70 on high way I took out center consul to find a wire broke off from the box on the bottom of the gear selector I repaired it took for a test drive and still doing the same thing I tried shifting threw all the gears manual 1 then 2 then 3 then drive and noticed the Rpms actually go up when I go from 3rd to drive I'm not sure what to check or try and replace

    4th gear is gone then. The splines on the shaft are a weak point on 97-02 cars and they strip after a while, I'd just do a rebuild at this point.
