This is beyond the best information I've gotten ha.. I seen theres a HP DVD, will I need that one because I'm working with a 4T65E-HD?

So I'll have to purchase a Full Rebuild Kit and a Shift kit as well?

Lol yeah I've made the drive twice. Not fun... haha

and the dvd set is for both. The only difference between your "hd" and regular is the differential and number of gear teeth, noting special. The hd on the dvd manual is referring to high horsepower builds which is a good video to have if you're going that route, butyou would need both dvds.

What you'll look for is a master rebuild kit with new lip seals and pistons. I recommend replacing the bands while you're there, get all the electronic solenoids and such, new torque converter, filter, shift kit, and that's about it. One thing common to our transmissions but commonly overlooked is the afl valve in the channel plate (sonnax and other brands make a fix) and the boost valve. I'm a big fan of the sonnax sure cure kit if you can stomach the price. Basically, there's no kit that 100% has everything you need. I'll try to post some kits I recommend

Also, if you can chime in on this choice. I know it can be an unknown and I do have a 13month warranty on my yard granny. But, since I'm going this route on a dirty rebuild. Which Tranny should I choose. Blind educated guess by just looking at the filters.
