Apparently someone actually did hit my car today, it was super close today and I was not sure, but low and behold the lower door molding is damaged.

Unfortunately, in my experience... Those things are so thin and the plastic is so dried out now, it can be a challenge just removing one undamaged. The tape flange is paper thin and rips. I had decent luck plastic welding a rip with it off, but the pressure needed to reinstall cracks the repair. If you can fix and paint whats there, on the car, thats the easy out if a satisfactory fix can be made. I've got one stashed but its 40th cherry color and I have plans for it kinda. Good luck.

I was able to pull both sides off with ease unfortunately, not sure if that is a good sign haha. It is not repairable with plastic weld, so a new one is in order, I am ok with another color as I will be repainting both sides here.

Take a picture... No guarantee but I can check the yard here for one. I know I know why do I need a picture... So I know wtf I'm looking for just to be sure.

Don't they list for like 500 new? Maybe not anymore, lol. They would be keeping ALL of those! Coupes are common in the yards here but I've got the only two black ones I know of right now.

Gotcha... I'll stop by this week and see what they have I know they have a few GPs spotted them last week but I don't remember if some were coupes or not but I'll take a picture and get a price if it's within reason.

If you strike out on black, my spare is in good shape IIRC. I found a whole black ddor on car-part.com shipped for 230 and could tell that molding was still good so I got excited but of course it was ripped half off by the time I got it. Old ones can be fragile, the 02's came off better than the 99.

I would think they would be a bit different because the coupes doors are slightly longer right?

I drivejunk, I will let you know if I don't find one in black, it will be much easier to respray a black one than to have to strip one down and completely repaint it. Although the dark cherry would not be hard to spray some coats of black over.
