you realize you can bend the boot a little bit to get it not to hit the header, but the wire on the plug and push on it a little to bend it away from the header, doesnt take much effort to do. then get some spark plug boot protectors, like sandy vag said, DEI makes some that you can buy at autozone. MSD makes good ignition products, i wouldnt call them rice like i would with accell, just dont use msd coils, they are worse than stock ones for these motors.
and wires arent just wires, there are quality ones like taylor made, and there are crap ones like zzp made for a while, not sure how theres are now. i had bosch and they werent that good, has some issues, used some TDC ones, similar to PRJ but not as good and they were fine, when i did my turbo build i went with AC Delco for a Bonnie because a couple are just a little bit longer and make it easier to route them.
what kind of headers do you have? all the aftermarket plugs have longer boots, the stock would be your best bet i think.
