I am pretty sure if you did that the engine might last 200-300 miles before it turned into a boat anchor.
Your best bet is to start looking for a new complete bottom end.

How do you weigh a chipped piston..
2004 Comp G "The Panda"- low, e85, big brakes SOLD
2002 Trans Am- 6 speed, bolt ons or something, it's slow.
2006 Silverado- forged ls2, 4l80e, plate kit, also slow...

I swapped in a new rod/piston into my old motor and it lasted me several months until I got a new motor to throw in. I thought I had 1 chipped piston but I found two more lol. Take my advice though, just get a new motor. This one will run fine on a chipped piston for a long time, mine did on 3.

You should just get a new piston. Reuse your old rod and bearing. You will need new cap bolts as well.
