Any top end off a SC motor will work. Check the for sale section they always go for cheap there. Youll also need gaskets and fluids and stuff. Research first man.

I know you need a ton of different parts. I was looking into it a while ago and almost bought almost everything from someone on the forum but he fell through.

Not really a ton of parts...LIM, SC and belt, SC belt idler and tension pulleys, crank pulley, heads, injectors and fuel rail, throttle body, plus associated gaskets and a tune. That's not a ton of different parts at all. This can be had pretty cheap if you hit up a junkyard.

Last I knew buying from someone on a forum is pretty much the same as buying from a junkyard. The L67 is known for holding up well...and many people have simply bolted on these types of items without any refurbishing whatsoever and without any issue. I'm not sure why this statement is even posted.

after the motor has sat in the elements rusting away for who knows how long? you think it will just bolt right on? having it refurbished would cost the same if not more then one that is brand new

Motors have been exposed to the elements since the car left the assembly plant. Also, why would you even think of buying parts off a car without a hood on it? This is common no-brainer stuff. I buy JY parts all the time. I drive old crap. My JY built old crap is still just as reliable as (and typically faster than) a brand new car...I turn key and she starts and goes. Amazing how that works...

you don't need a throttle body. the l36 one bolts right up. I'll have a full ssm90 kit for sale shortly including the pulley setup to run a single belt. Don't even have to change your balancer or heads. Just needs a SC and its ready to go.
