Looking for a scan tool that reads ABS codes and possibly air bag codes too. I'm not looking to spend a ton of money on something like a Tech 2. I may as well just get a tuning program at that point. Let me know what you have. Thanks

I have that one, It does not read abs on the grand prix. You have to check the owners manuel on them. My friend has the ABS scanner and it doesn't read grand prix either.

The manual says it will read 99-08 abs codes for Gran Prix.... And that is exactly how they spelled it too. "Gran Prix"

I would want one that reads 97-08 cuz one of my cars is a 98 and I'd rather be able to read all years

Here is the link to what it supposedly reads and doesn't read: http://www.actron.com/publish/2012/1...hart_16364.pdf

I was thinking about getting this and if I put the right software on my Android phone, I should be able to read ABS codes, right?

The Torque app will only read 1997 gtp wheel speed sensors data. It will not read the codes just the wheel speed. I dont think it works on 98 and up gtps as they use a differenet ABS system...It should read GTs up to 1999. Torque app rocks for other stuff.

Can't do much better than that.

It will only do the bigger companies though.

But you would already know that if you had something oddball because you'd already have a manufacturer specific code reader just to read regular codes.
