pretty sure it will loose its programming one power is removed form the unit, i would think any fob for your year car would program as per the owners manual.

No it doesn't lose the programming. I already bought dsmust's and it worked but it got stolen from my car.

It never worked for me.
For some reason I could reprogram my old 98 but my 99 is different (without the door lock/unlock process)

that sucks. i know how using the key sucks to get in all the time, once you got a fob you can go back.
